You need at least 50% in Senior Secondary and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Another option is 45% in Senior Secondary and a 2-year Diploma following NCTE regulations.

Students with 50% in 12th and a 4-year B.El.Ed degree are also eligible.

Those who finished 12th with 50% and have a Diploma in Special Education can apply.

Candidates currently in their final year of these courses are also permitted to sit for the exam.

Candidates with a B.Ed in Special Education and 50% in Graduation are welcome to apply.

A person pursuing any teacher education course recognized by NCTE or RCI can appear for the test.

Post-graduates with 55% marks can apply if they have a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed degree.
